Sad day in California

On May 15, 2008 the California State Supreme Court ruled that homosexual marrage will become legal in the state effective in 30 days. This is a terrible example of the courts overruling the will of the majority of the people of that state. In the last state election, 61 % of California voters approved a ballot measure stating that the only legal & recognized marriage is between one man and one woman. Liberals have always used the courts as a way for a radical minority to bypass the law and force their will on the majority.

With a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, President Bush pushed for a Constitutional Amendment to make sure the ' One man / One woman' marriage would be preserved as national law and not subject to court rulings that might overturn it. However, Republicans acted more like Girlymen and never pushed or supported the amendment. One key Senator who refused to support it was John McCain. Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton both support gay marriage and it appears that the traditional sacred marriage will continue to be threatened if McCain happens to be elected.

This world is getting worse. As Brother Daryle preached last night. We have gotten our eyes off the Lord, just like Israel, and the Apostles at times. We have left our first love and allowed we will do it our way. There is still a few out there that loves the Lord, but our older Saints are dieing off. We need to step up to the plate as they did and pray like we have never prayed before. We need God.
