A.C.L.U. Their intent is to strike fear into the hearts of God-fearing Freedom loving Americans. Here is some background information on the A.C.L.U.(American Communist Lawyers Union) It's founder, Roger Baldwin, was a W.W.I draft dodger who spent a year in jail. Baldwin was a Communist who wanted to destroy the U.S. as we know it. The following is a quote from Baldwin:

the legalization of prostitution (Policy 211);
the defense of all pornography, including CHILD PORN, as "free speech" (Policy 4);
the decriminalization and legalization of all drugs (Policy 210);
the promotion of homosexuality (Policy 264);
the opposition of rating of music and movies (Policy 18);
opposition against parental consent of minors seeking abortion (Policy 262);
opposition of informed consent preceding abortion procedures (Policy 263);
opposition of spousal consent preceding abortion (Policy 262);
opposition of parental choice in children's education (Policy 80)

In more recent cases, the 1992 case, Lee vs. Weisman determined that it is unconstitutional for officially sanctioned prayers to be read at graduation ceremonies.

In the ensuing years, the ACLU of Virginia has continued to protect and advance the constitutional rights of Virginia citizens through a wide variety of lawsuits and public education programs. We defended the right of lesbian Sharon Bottoms to keep custody of her child. These cases have been at the forefront of advancing equal rights for minorities in Virginia.
In addition, we have led the effort to guard religious liberty with dozens of successful lawsuits. Our lawsuit challenging student-led, but school-organized, prayer at high school graduations was the first of its kind in the nation. In addition, hundreds of other threats to civil liberties have been resolved with the mere threat of litigation by the ACLU or through our public education efforts.

As a complement to our litigation program, the ACLU of Virginia lobbies the Virginia General Assembly and provides educational programs on civil liberties and civil rights. Over the years, we have protected the constitutional rights of Virginia residents by altering the course of hundreds of bills in the state legislature.

Defenders of the Constitution? I don't think so. These are the people who have threatened Christian school children at Gate City High School.
