A TIME FOR BOLDNESS

Many 'Christians ' are quick to tell you that the bible teaches us to obey and submit to the government. ( Romans 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.KJV). This is an easy copout to a nation of people, especially men, who are quickly becoming a society of spineless, lukewarm, wish-washy Nancy-boys. I believe we are to submit and obey the government until it leads and orders us to go against God's directions, which are found in the Holy Bible KJV. It amazes me the number of 'Christians' who don't seem to know where to turn to for advice or guidance.

I believe we need to look to the experiences of  Peter and John in Acts chapters 4 & 5. When brought before the governing authorities and ordered to remain silent, they had to decide whether to obey the government leaders or to obey God. This is the prayer they prayed; Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word. KJV

They then proceeded  with their mission;  Acts 4:31 ....and they spake the word of God with boldness. KJV

Soon afterwards they were again arrested and brought before the authorities and threatened to stop taking a stand and to remain silent if they intended to disagree with the official policies of the government leaders. Here is their simple response and the same thing we need to ask ourselves when confronted with government leadership ( and I use that term loosely) that goes against our Christian beliefs; Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. KJV

This nation wasn't founded by Muslims, Buddhists, homosexuals/lesbians, atheists, abortionists, global warmers, animal rights activist and tree-huggers.   Christians led the fight for the founding of our nation and if it is to be prevented from falling completely in the dark abyss, Christians must once again be Bold in prayer & action. The time of meekness, silence and going along to get along needs to end now! Now is the time for Boldness!

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. KJV
