More Gun Control???

Every time there is a mass murder against a helpless target(Umpqua Community College in Roseburg Oregon), liberal politicians take to the airwaves demanding tighter gun control and stricter access to firearms.  Guns aren't the problem, evil people full of sin and hatred, intent on destruction is the problem. 
If the only weapon know to mankind was a sharpened stick, someone would still use it to kill other human beings.
The modern world tells us the Bible is irrelevant, yet I challenge you to read the following four(4) verses written almost 2,000 years ago and challenge any part of it. It is a perfect description of our godless culture today.

ROMANS 1:29-32(KJV)
29Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

And so it begins, an American Christian, Kim Davis, who is a circuit court clerk in Rowan County Kentucky, has been imprisoned simply because she would not renounce her religious beliefs. Ms. Davis has refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. No so called same-sex couple has had their rights infringed upon, there are 119 other counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky where they can receive a license from the county clerk’s office, Ms. Davis has simply been targeted and made a public example by the homosexual movement and the liberal national media. Ms. Davis didn’t even ignore the law, she ignored a decision by the Supreme Court which itself ignored the laws and constitutions of more than thirty states that had already decided by legal methods that the only legitimate marriage is between one man and one woman. This is only the beginning, soon we will see Pastors and Church leaders who are willing to stand by their beliefs led away to prison. I remember years ago when the militant homosexual movement begin to gain publicity the heartfelt message was ‘We just want to be free to love who we choose.’ Now it’s clear what their real desire is, stand against us and you will be publicly vilified, lose your job and go to jail.

  As a government official Ms. Davis had an example to follow from another government official, President Barrack Obama. When the homosexual movement pushed their case into the Supreme Court to have DOMA(Defense of Marriage Act) overturned President Obama was obligated by his oath of office to have the Attorney General’s office defend the federal law in the case. However, he directed then Attorney General Eric Holder to file a brief in support of striking down the law. When it was pointed out to him in a news conference that DOMA had been approved overwhelmingly by Congress and signed into law by Bill Clinton, his self-serving response was, “Yes, but it’s a bad law.”

  Ms. Davis may receive boldness from a similar situation over 2,000 years ago, when Peter and John were brought before government officials and ordered to remain silent on their Christian beliefs they gave this response, Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men."(ACTS 5:29 KJV). They were severely beaten and released, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

Liberal Virginia Governor Pushing For Tax Increase

In his first year as governor(1998), Jim Gilmore(R) began a rollback/reduction of the hated 'car tax' with plans for it's eventual elimination. In the following years Mark Warner(D), Tim Kaine(D),& Bob McDonnell(R) did not continue with the reduction in the tax and allowed it to remain stationary. Now following a recent report that Virginia's economy has declined ever since he took office, Governor Terry McAuliffe(D) is planning on requesting to the legislature in January to start increasing the car tax back to it's full rate. Maybe he should concentrate on matters more important that attacking Biblical marriage, promoting sodomite marriage, promoting abortion(killing babies) & promoting the global warming lie. Sounds just like his fearless leader in D.C. doesn't he?

.......dang, there went ALL of that sensitivity I've been working on.

Pray For Our Leaders

I know that I sometimes rub people the wrong way with my commentaries on political issues, I wish I had 'smoother edges' but I don't. I have always felt that free citizens, if they desire to remain free, should be ready & willing to speak out. I don't hate any government entities or any individuals in any government position; to the contrary I believe that government is ordained by God.
I try to pray for our leaders/government officials daily, which in these unsettled and troubled times can be very difficult. When I feel bitterness or anger over some of the ungodly actions and decisions made by people in authority I try to remember this scripture:
PSALM 51:10(KJV) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

November 4, Send Mark Warner Home

It is only two days until national elections and Democrats don't want to be seen within a hundred miles of their president, Barrack Hussein Obama. He has made exactly one campaign appearance for a senate candidate and that was in Detroit where the Democrat already has a 15 point lead.
All other Democrats, including Virginia's Mark Warner who votes with Obama & Harry Reed 97% of the time, scramble around in appearances and debates claiming they oppose Obama's agenda at every opportunity.
America is a mess and the blame can be laid squarely at the feet of Obama and his cronies. Put the same people back in office and you will keep getting the same results.

ILLIGAL IMMIGRANTS

It is an undeniable fact that when someone from another country sneaks into the United States, the moment their foot touches American soil for the first time they have committed a criminal act by breaking federal immigration law. Yet you don’t hear the term illegal alien/immigrant used very often. They are commonly referred to as ‘undocumented’ or the current buzz word, ‘refuges’. Federal authorities would have us buy into the notion that these lawbreakers can be counted on to become model citizens if only they are allowed to stay here and thrive under the trusting care of Big Brother.

I would love to have the opportunity to ask one of these liberal politicians two questions:

11 )      If a foreign national’s  first act upon entering the U.S. is to break federal law and not be punished, exactly which, if any, federal laws are they expected to obey thereafter?

22 )      As a natural born American citizen, which, if any, federal laws am I expected to obey? Surely I would not be held to a higher standard than someone who has no respect for our laws and sneaks into this country under cover of darkness.

Has the A&E Network killed the Christmas Goose(Duck)?

As is all too common in America today, a major TV network(A&E) has moved quickly to appease a tiny but vocal Anti-Christian segment of society by attempting to silence a professing Christian both ridiculing his religious beliefs and by punishing him financially. The A&E network has immediately "suspended" Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson after he expressed his agreement with the Biblical stand on homosexuality.

The perverted LGBT( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community;who only makes up 3-5% of the American population, and supposedly calls for tolerance and understanding of diverse beliefs, has been unmerciful in attacking Robertson. This ungodly movement has Hollywood, the national media, the court system & the federal government at their beck and call.

Unless they soon  issue a sincere public apology, A&E should be punished and held accountable for their attack on Christianity  by losing their viewers and closing up operations. A&E
is a joint venture between The Hearst Corporation, and Disney-ABC Television Group, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The "A&E" stands for Arts & Entertainment Network. Disney and Hearst own 42.5% each, while NBC Universal owns 15%. 

The Disney Co. also owns ESPN, which last weekend refused to run an ad by a Christian hospital because they used the words 'God' & 'Jesus" in the commercial. 

If you know your history, it appears that Christians in modern America are swiftly becoming the Jews of pre-WWII Europe.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN, WILL THE WORLD END ?

Guess what! The federal government shutdown all 'non-essential' operations today and the world didn't end!! However, I'm sure there is plenty of hand-wring & nail biting by the millions of Americans with the entitlement mentality that the federal government is God and they can't survive without government handouts.
Might be a good time to recall this famous quote, " The government powerful enough to give you everything, is the government powerful enough to take it all away."

PLANNED PARENTHOOD, PURE EVIL

I was so angry & repulsed today I didn't know whether to cry or vomit. President Obama was the keynote speaker at the Planned Parenthood Gala. How deranged and evil must you be to call a meeting a 'GALA' as you gather to celebrate killing 330,000 baby's every year? To the howling applause from the bloodthirsty Planned Parenthood members and supporters, Obama said, "Planned Parenthood is not going anywhere," Obama said. "It's not going anywhere today, it's not going anywhere tomorrow."
He ended his speech by saying, " GOD BLESS PLANNED PARENTHOOD." 



If Abortion isn't murder, then maybe Planned Parenthood members would be willing to submit to the procedure, which consist of puncturing the skull of the human body and sucking out the brain while the heart is still beating or using surgical scissors to sever the spinal cord while the heart is still beating.

PERILOUS TIMES IN AMERICA

Many people, including lots of people who identify themselves as Christians, believe that the Bible (especially the KJV) is outdated and no longer relevant in modern times. I ask that you take 2 minutes and read this scripture that the Apostle Paul penned in A.D. 67. Decide for yourself if this isn't an absolutely real depiction of our nation today. It is amazing how accurate this book is even though it it attacked and ridiculed all over the world. Truly, it is THE WORD OF GOD. You will notice at the end of verse 5 he tells the followers of Jesus, "... from such turn away."
