I recently received a letter from the IRS telling me I should expect to receive a stimulus check by 5/30/2008. This is the second letter from the IRS with basically the same information. The letter stated that, " If I did not receive it within six weeks of this notice, please contact us at the number shown above." This should be a simple program to execute, but the federal government has struggled from the onset to make it work correctly. They have spent millions of taxpayers dollars sending outunnessary redundant letters to millions of households. Checks in the wrong amount have been mailed out, they have been deposited into the wrong bank accounts and mailed to the wrong addresses. This is the same federal government that liberal democrats want to turn our health care system over to. Waiting to get back some of my hard earned tax money is one thing but putting the government in charge of my health care could be a matter of life and death. I have one thing to say to the local, state and federal governments: stay out of my back pocket and stay out of my life!
